Conveyancing
Our conveyancing practice covers the whole range of real estate matters. Our firm represents individual clients as well as institutional lenders and private developers of residential and commercial buildings. We advise our clients at all stages of the real estate transaction and are often called upon to perform the following services on their behalf:
- negotiating and preparing sale and purchase agreements and construction contracts;
- assignments, loan agreements, mortgage and project financings, domestic and commercial leasing;
- structuring development and construction of real estate projects;
- town planning appeals;
- negotiating the terms of land grants and modifications and interpretation of building covenants and user restrictions.

Estates and Trusts
Our probate department assists many of our clients on the following:

- preparation of wills and powers of attorney;

- the establishment of settlements and trusts;
- obtaining grants of representation;
- administration and winding-up of estates
- resealing of foreign grants
Intellectual Property
As part of our practice, we also deal with litigation and commercial arrangements relating to patents, trade marks and copyrights - including industrial design, computer software and passing off. We also file trade mark applications and deal with assignments and licences of intellectual property rights.
PRC Practice
As Hong Kong is getting closer and closer with China, we have been called upon by investors to advise on the investment environment there and legal issues arising out of joint-ventures. Our firm is well-equipped with all the major PRC legal literature published both in China and elsewhere. Our senior partner Joseph C T Lee holds a diploma in Chinese law conferred by the Graduate College of the University of East Asia. He is also a China-Appointed Attesting Officer.
